Dan Clarke

Dan Clarke spent seven years in the crypto industry, most of them explaining it: first as content lead at Binance Academy, then as an independent consultant and writer. Bitcoin: The Complete Guide gathers what those years taught him, the technology, the economics and the politics of Bitcoin, in one book and in plain English.

His path there was unconventional. After two years with Derbyshire Police in his early twenties, he left the UK for Berlin, taught himself German and worked his way into the tech industry. Five years in Germany led to Singapore, where he discovered Bitcoin during the 2017 bull run and never looked back.

Now based between Bali and the UAE, he splits his time between consulting, writing the free Bitcoin guide on this site, and two stubborn hobbies: he taught himself Indonesian and built Bahasa.fun to spare other learners the textbooks, and as a recreational Divemaster he documents Indo-Pacific dive sites at Tidefall.

Why this book

Most Bitcoin material is either marketing dressed up as education or academic writing nobody finishes. Working at Binance Academy meant explaining crypto to millions of readers who arrived with zero background, and that discipline shaped every chapter: plain language first, precision where it matters, and no cheerleading.
