Privacy policy
This site is run by the author of Bitcoin: The Complete Guide. It collects as little as possible.
What is collected
- Analytics. The site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read. This involves cookies set by Google. No advertising or remarketing features are enabled.
- Contact form. If you send a message, the name, email address and message you provide are stored and forwarded to the author so he can reply.
- Free chapter. If you request the free chapter, your email address is stored. It may be used to send occasional news about the book. Nothing else, and never sold or shared.
- Crypto orders. If you buy the book with cryptocurrency, the order details you submit (name, email, transaction reference, shipping address if provided) are stored for fulfilment.
- Server logs. The web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, user agent, pages requested) for security and debugging, rotated on a normal schedule.
What is not done
- No data is sold or passed to third parties beyond the processors named above (Google Analytics; Amazon handles its own checkout entirely).
- No advertising trackers, no social media pixels, no fingerprinting.
- No marketing emails beyond the occasional book update mentioned above, and only if you requested the free chapter.
Your choices
Use the contact form on the homepage to have your contact messages, order records or email address deleted. Blocking cookies in your browser will not break anything on this site.
Payments
Card payments happen entirely on Amazon under Amazon's privacy policy. Cryptocurrency payments happen on their respective public blockchains; be aware that blockchain transactions are public by design.
